Job Description:


Performs a variety of duties including coordination of all business units accounting activities, maintaining cash control, payroll records including Living Wage Ordinance compliance, accounts payable, accounts receivable and P&L review.


Responsibilities:



  • Provide daily support to field operations by training unit managers to use and understand financial information and back office accounting systems (MyFinance, WebPayroll, MyOrders, etc.)

  • Act as a liaison between field operations and other Corporate functions such as Accounts Payable, Treasury, Capital Assets and Payroll

  • Perform P&L reconciliations

  • Assist in meeting requirements for compliance to contract terms including operation maintenance, balance sheet review (Imprest Funds, Inventory, Entitlement Accruals, etc.), month end close, and operation closures

  • Ensure assigned balance sheet accounts reflect the correct balance and are review and reconciled monthly and any variances are escalated immediately for a quick resolution

  • Prepare journal entries, AR Maintenance, AP Uploads, WCR Delete and re-keys as needed

  • Maintain accurate contact information on all field internal customers

  • Identify best practices within the role and strive to improve processes and efficiencies

  • Perform other accounting tasks as needed


Qualifications:

  • Two-year degree in Accounting or Business with Accounting concentration preferred or 3+ years bookkeeping/accounting experience, or equivalent work experience.

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Good communication skills, verbal and written

  • Proficient knowledge of Excel

  • Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines

  • Must be a quick learner and self-motivated
